Neetu and Rishi Kapoor have been married almost 40 yearsand are one the most beloved couples in Bollywood. They were among the mostbeloved jodis onscreen and appeared in movies like Zinda Dil and Do DooniChaar.
In 2019, Neetu Kapoor appeared on "SuhaanaSafar" with Annu Kapoor. She recalled the first time she met Rishi Kapoor, a veteranactress. He was a bully and would oftencomment on my clothes and make-up, making me feel angry. He was a brat and bullied everyone, even me when I wasyoung. He used to make me furious."
According to the veteran actress, Bobby became a hugesuccess and Dimple married Rishi. Everyone used to be older than Rishi. "I was the only youngactress and, by default, all his movies started coming my way afterRickshawala."
Neetu Kapoor answered a question about the moment thatshe made the decision to live with Rishi. But I had signed many movies. I was beginning to feel more confident. My mother was extremely protective of me. She used to sendLovely, my cousin, on my dinner dates with Rishi. My age was young and I hadn't been on a date in a while. After three years of this, I signed 'Naseeb, 'Shaan, andfour to five other big-budget movies. Rishijithen asked: "You're signing so many movies. Don't you want amarriage?" I didn't know what he was thinking. He never said he wanted to marry. He was just dating. SoI replied, "There must be a boy to marry me." Rishiji replied, "So who am I?" Rishiji said, "So who am I?"
The veteran actress also remembered returning all of the signed films. She stated that shereturned all of the signed movies and gave notice to everyone to complete alloutstanding movies. It was a year that Iworked so hard (to finish all my projects before marriage), it is almost impossible to imagine. My husband thentold me to finish all of it so that we could start a family. Although it wasn't true that women couldn't work aftermarriage, I was tired of working 15 years in a row. I desired a simpler life.
After a two-year battle with cancer, Rishi Kapoor went toher heavenly home on April 30, 2020.
