Chris Hemsworth, the “Thor” actor, wished Chris Evans a happy 40th birthday, saying the “Captain America” star would always be “number one” in his eyes.
According to India time, Evans turned 40 on Sunday, and Hemsworth pranked Evans by giving him a shout-out on Instagram.
Hemsworth sent a message along with a photo of himself and Chris Pratt, who plays Star-Lord in the “Guardians of the Galaxy” franchise, which appeared to be a behind-the-scenes selfie from the set of the next “Thor: Love and Thunder,” which was taken by Pratt.
“Happy 40th birthday Chris Evans, you’ll always be number 1 in my book @chrisevans,” Hemsworth wrote.
Hemsworth is shown in the photo with Thor's long golden hair and a wide smile. A beaming Pratt, dressed as Star-Lord, offers the camera a thumbs-up sign.
Chris Hemsworth previously posted a handwritten note from his seven-year-old son Tristan on Instagram. His youngster refers to the 37-year-old actor as a "special friend" on a piece of paper from a lined notepad in the photo.
The note reads: “My special friend is dad, together we go in the pool, together they make me feel happy.”
Chris captioned the picture saying: “My little boys creative writing.”
Tristan's teacher appears to have been impressed by the note. At the bottom of the assignment, the words “Well done Tristan” were scribbled in green on the note.
Meanwhile, Chris Hemsworth has begun filming for Thor: Love And Thunder in his native Australia, where he was greeted with a traditional 'Welcome to Country ceremony. Hemsworth, who is well known for his superhero alter ego Thor, shared photos from the event on Instagram on Tuesday.
“A beautiful start to our shoot today with a Welcome to the Country ceremony from the Gamay dancers of the Gadigal and Bidiagal Nation and performance and karakia by Maori dancers from Te Aranganui,” he shared.
“Indigenous Australians may be just as proud of their country as anyone else, but many see January 26th as the start of dispossession, disease epidemics, frontier violence, cultural destruction, exploitation, abuse, family separation, and submission to policies of extreme social control,” the Melbourne-born actor continued. Let us begin the healing process by standing united in solidarity and compassion with our First Nations people,” he continued.
“Let’s find a date where all Australians can celebrate this beautiful country together. #changethedate @taikawaititi #thorloveandthunder,” he concluded.
He is photographed alongside Taika Waititi, the film's director.
Thor: Ragnarok is the fourth instalment in the Thor film series. Thor: Ragnarok, directed by Waititi, grossed $854 million at the box office. In the latest instalment, the filmmaker will also play the Kronan warrior Korg.
Chris Pratt will reprise his role as Star-Lord in the upcoming Guardians Of The Galaxy flicks, which also star Natalie Portman, Tessa Thompson, and Christian Bale. The plot of the forthcoming Thor film has been kept a secret.
